The Design Brief

Rather than creating another neutral Airbnb apartment, the owner wanted something with personality.

The vision was to develop a playful stay that would appeal to:

The result became our Playground Design, a concept that transforms everyday accommodation into part of the guest experience.

Bringing the Playground Concept to Life

Instead of relying on expensive custom carpentry, the design focuses on colour, styling and memorable feature pieces that instantly create a sense of fun.

A Living Room That Starts Conversations

The moment guests enter, they are welcomed by a giant teddy bear, playful neon signage and a soft pastel feature wall inspired by geometric forms.

Large windows frame the Kuala Lumpur skyline, creating a bright and cheerful space where guests naturally gather to relax, chat and take photos.

The sculptural lounge chair, layered textures and curated décor complete a living space designed to feel playful without sacrificing comfort.

Bedrooms Designed for Different Guests

The master bedroom adopts a calmer mood while maintaining the overall design language.

A moon feature light creates a distinctive focal point, paired with soft arches, warm lighting and neutral furnishings to provide a cosy retreat after a day exploring the city.

Meanwhile, the secondary bedroom features bunk beds, making the apartment ideal for families or groups while reinforcing the playful identity of the property.

Instagrammable Without Feeling Overdone

Every design decision was made with guest experience in mind.

Rather than filling the apartment with novelty items, the design balances clean Scandinavian-inspired styling with carefully selected feature pieces that encourage guests to interact with the space naturally.
